A new digital only add-on for Mass Effect has been released. Gonna cost you 4 hard earned pounds if you want it from the EA Store. Might have a look since I'm about a third of the way through replaying it.

Anyway, the main points appear to be:

# Visit the military training center at Pinnacle Station and engage in a series of combat simulations.
# Players of any level can hone their Mass Effect combat skills, shooting your way to the top in 12 unique combat scenarios.
# Make a bet with the station Admiral in a final 13th mission. The stakes are high, Shepard risks his life and the life of his crew to prove that he is the best of the best.
# Farm your main game achievements in an easy to access combat simulator.
# Player can take their prizes and play with them in the main game. Making your next playthrough easier.
# Combat is more dynamic and fast paced.
# Combat simulator feels like a hollo-deck of sorts, environments and enemies look simulated.
# Encounter Vadinos (Turian), and win his weapon.

Aye, it is a bit of a poor effort really for ££ DLC. Just noticed as well, maybe someone should tell EA how to spell holodeck...

I got excited when i saw mass effect will wait for reviews. Unless the weapon you get is better than Spectre x gear then it is a pointless.

LOL this is some funny **** :p

# Players of any level can hone their Mass Effect combat skills, shooting your way to the top in 12 unique combat scenarios.
If by unique they mean 4 repetitive game types repeated over the same 3 scenario levels :o
# Make a bet with the station Admiral in a final 13th mission. The stakes are high, Shepard risks his life and the life of his crew to prove that he is the best of the best.
The reward you get is nothing special and it is rather useless
# Farm your main game achievements in an easy to access combat simulator.
Even though it is much simpler and easier getting them by playing through the actual game?
# Player can take their prizes and play with them in the main game. Making your next playthrough easier.
God knows only what this is on about. Make it easier on another playthrough? You get naff all useful
# Combat is more dynamic and fast paced.
Considering that the combat is rather ham-handed to begin with is this a good thing? It basically just spams enemies at you and the AI is so stupid that that just charges straight towards you (just like in the main story)
# Combat simulator feels like a hollo-deck of sorts, environments and enemies look simulated.
Again this is a selling point because? Wow the spawn and death animations "feels like a hollo-deck of sorts"
# Encounter Vadinos (Turian), and win his weapon.
Which is just randomly generated from the existing weapons in game, they couldn't even be bothered to even make a couple of new weapons so you would atleast get *something*

Yes I did buy this piece of **** if you couldn't tell already :p

Got to be the laziest piece of DLC I've ever come across, it's not the fact I paid £3 for it, I just want my 2 hours back that I wasted playing this piece of crap through.

Heheh, this observation regarding the "Make a bet with the station Admiral" mission made me chuckle over on VE3D:

Shepard risks the life of his crew in a macho bet with a commanding officer? What a dick.
