If I start a new game with my already level character and change the difficulty to hardcore after the first convo of the game will that give me the achievement at the end?

Playing through with a new adept on hardcore and it's taking the No swearing. Big Kev compared to soldier =/

I wish I started it again on hardcore with my previous guy, would have been a peice of cake. well hard imo starting from scratch insane is gonna take the biscuit

Well I'm like 16hrs now, its pretty easy now my womans pimpd out with epic equipment but before all that it was very hard, retry after retry stressing me out :O

You only need to change the difficulty before you leave the Normandy.

Are you sure you're playing hardcore and not veteran? Hardcore is difficulty no. 4 and only unlocked once you've finished the game.

I'm quite a way through on hardcore and I have to say for the most part I'm finding it easier than when I played through on Normal; (level 55 now).

In reply to OP as long s you change the difficulty before activating the beacon on eden prime you'll get the acheivement.

Well I'm on the hardest difficulty you can select from the start. Veteran it is.

You only unlock insanity after you have finished it on hardcore.

Yeah when you think about it you can easily go through main story in matter of hours if you are good like me.

Another question, can you get the achievement for use said skill 75times blah blah with the npcs or it have to be your character?

Has to be your character, which means to get all the 'Use Skill X 75 time' achievements you'll have to make at least 3 characters like I did.

bah. thats pretty dumb but its their way of making you wanna go through it again and again
