mass effect questions

Hey i managed to miss the charactor creation when i started and now i found out i could have chosen other options.

i wondered what ive missed.

Could i have been a difference race?

Is the soldier the best class to play through the first time?

have i missed anything else?

Also are there any unlockable races to play as after completing the game?

do you not get enough experiance points to max out your charracter then? i think i might have wasted them on the other charracters because i point them all into combat then relised i shouldn't have done that.

also is there any difference between the different backstorys you can choose and reputations. You know the sole surviver and all that.

When you play through with the same character a second time are the enermys scaled to your level so its not a walk over?

OO i got stuck on the bombs, i was going the wrong way. Disable the first one then go up the ramp and turn right then disable the one down that walkway then go across to your right and then disable that one. its actually quite easy.

Remember you can save any time but you gota have your weapons holstered as well so save jut after doing it.

Anyone else get things stuck on their screen? I had a question mark which didn't have anything around it i looked both under ground and above it. I also had a silly bar on screen after dissarming that AI/bomb thing in the citidel and it wouldn't go until i saved and reloaded. They were really annoying,thought they might be stuck their for ever.
