Mass Effect Review Thread: Discussion

You haven't even played it and you're calling it GOTY? All you've got to go on is review scores, which quite frankly don't mean much in terms of whether or not it is GOTY material. Halo 3 got 10/10's, 9/10's...would you say it was GOTY material? Definitely not.
 
might take a look at this, couldn't get into oblivion with it being all olden day era, could do with a Sci fi fix, recently watched the star wars films again and it's turned me all geeky :O

1up and eurogamer both also hammered assassins creed, and it's likely edge will aswell.

Uncharted is more likely, you could have said Bioshock or somethign.
 
In fairness there are always several GOMTY games. I think Bioshock was the first candidate, now lets see if Mass Effect is up to. Only 4 days to go!

gamespy have given it 5/5, heres the conclusion:

Crysis is crap.

I shall keep telling myself that because my graphics card is too crap to play it :p

Seriously though, is it actually a decent game? Farcry was very average apart from the nice graphics and to be honest I was expecting the same of Crysis.

It's a good game yeah admittedly there's 1 or 2 levels I got a tad bored on but it's very solid, much better than Far Cry.

Yeah it's all flash, all them reviews are rating it on the graphics only, that must be it!

Mass Effect is only rated 0.2% higher, so is Crysis still not a candidate for GOTY?

People who write off Crysis as all flash usually either don't have a good PC, fanboys or just plain ignorant.

but FPS are boring most of time, Mass Effect brings something new to the table instead of FPS FPS FPS.
