Mass Effect Trilogy or Not?

Get the trilogy, as for DLC, ME1 Bring down the sky is now free so you might as well grab it, Pinnacle Station on the other hand costs money & isn't worth it judging by what ive heard ( & seen on Youtube ).

ME2 DLC, Cerberus Network comes with ME2 which is nice, Lair of the Shadow Broker costs money & is worth every penny, if only for the battle on the Shadow Brokers ship, which is just awesome.

I also like Kasumi & Arrival which both cost money, Arrival is a nice little "bridge" DLC that leads into ME3, it's not a must have, but its worth it to me. Kasumi - Stolen Memory is a nice little loyalty mission. & there's also Overlord which ive got, but im not fond of it tbh.

ME3 Must have DLC's for me are Leviathan, From Ashes, And of course Citadel, Omega I can quite happily do without.

While ME1 was a bit repetitive in the level layout department in some places, I'll never forget the atmosphere/music when I first loaded it up
and the creepiness of the first time landing on a desolate planet with the Mako. :)

I'm a bit of a completionist so I had to have ALL the DLC. I'll agree with LotSB and Leviathan being the best in the series, though. :o

Such a special series - you're going to have masses of fun, OP :)

Nope.

You'd think this long after its release, EA could could just do a proper pack and stop trying to squeeze extra cash out of you through addtional purchases.

That's something I really missed in 2 & 3, I know it was not everyone's cup of tea though.

Back OT: I love the trilogy and wish I could play it through for the first time again. On my second play through I found that adding From Ashes, Leviathan and the extended cut made the ending a lot more bearable.

No doubt there's people out there still buying this stuff up. Can't blame them for not changing!

never played the 3rd game but the first 2 were excellent.

Really like 1 and 2 but found the opening ~20 minutes of of ME3 beyond tedious and felt too much like playing a console game on PC so gave up - apparently it gets better after the end of the first earth section but I've never been bored enough to persevere with it.

Yup this is why its pap.

Pay 4.99 for ME3 at its sale price, then 1200 Bioware points (£9.00) for citadel and a further 1200 (£9.00) for omega.

I bought the trilogy ages ago from the rainforest for like £6 (us site)
But never played them, heard about the lack of controller support and never bothered downloading them.
I think ME3 does have controller support but dont want to jump straight in at 3
Oh well

M+KB work just fine, but if you really need to play with controller you can mod it in.

Been looking to replay the second one and while I would have to buy it again it's cheap enough with the sales. I really wouldn't mind playing through the DLC this time to expand on the universe but there really doesn't seem to be any kind of package that includes it. Deluxe edition as far as I can tell just gives you a bunch of skins and items and Cerberus Network adds a few things but as far as I can tell you need Bioware points to get things like Shadow Broker, Overlord and Kasumi?
