I've just been reading about the Mass Effect trilogy thats been announced.
It mentions the PS3 but I've not seen anywhere you can preorder it...surely there must be somewhere?

I've seen the preorders for Xbox and PC....

Anyone seen it for themselves online?

Nope, but I want to get it on the PS3 for ME1 - I guess ME2 wont let you play off the back of a ME1 save like it does on the 360 though? Has all the ME3 DLC come out yet as I a hoping this trilogy would be the 3 games and all their DLC...

I'm picking this one up sometime soon. With regards to the DLC not been on its likely not going to happen... its a good little money maker for Bioware still.

Should I download all the dlc before my first plsy though or complete it first the play the dlc on its own ??

Better to download all the DLC then play.

ME1 and 3 the DLC can only be done during the main story playthrough, ME2 DLC can be done once the game is completed (and most of it makes more sense before the final mission depending on your big choice at the end of said mission).

Thanks for that ill get downloading! Wonder how many points its going to take...

If you skip all the weapon/appearance packs for ME2 it's not hugely expensive, just don't miss Lair of the Shadow Broker as it remains to this day the best ME related DLC they've made.
Decent number of the ME2 DLC's are actually free if you have a new copy (with the Cerberus Network code).

Thanks for info g-man!

I brought the trilogy pack so have a code for Cerberus network, which is good because its 1200 points on the market place.

Not to fussed about the mass effect 2 dlc yet.

Got to start playing mess effect 1 first! Dlc for that is Pinnacle Station 400 points and Bring down the sky 80 points.

Finished mass effect 1 today, competed on Normal in 26 hours!

I made the mistake of downloading the dlc before I started the main game, I could see the dlc on the galaxy map and for what ever reason thought I could go back to it after the final mission :( only to find out u can't.

should have checked this thread before hand g-man had the answer.

So it's just took me an hour to load a new career with my level 46 shepherd and get to the point where I can access the galaxy map lol ill do the 2 dlc packs tomorrow then move on to mass effect 2.

How do I carry over my game to mass effect 2 ??

Does anyone know if ME1 on the PS3 trilogy includes all the DLC? I assume it would as I dont think Ive noticed ME1 DLC on PSN. Would hope so as its it first outing on the PS3.

Pretty sure it does include the DLC, as the downloadable version does too. If you look through the trophy list there are trophies for doing things which were only introduced via DLC on the Xbox version.

It has Bring Down the Sky included but Pinnacle Station isn't available at all for PS3.

Mass Effect 2 was patched to support importing characters as well.

Well hopefully thats good news, very much be nice to play it from the start and Ive never had a chance to try the ME1 DLC before. Ive actually got a brand new copy of ME2 somewhere, so might just sell that and get this whole bundle - just convenient to have it all on one platform, especially the character imports...

Even though I thought a few areas could have been executed a little better I have to say ME2 is comfortably one of the best games I've played. It was the first ME game that I played, the original wasn't available on PS3 at the time but Bioware did such a great job of letting new players know the back story and make the important decisions from the first game with the interactive graphic novel.

Also another bonus was the DLC which they included on the disk, I didn't know what was DLC and what was vanilla ME2, it was so well integrated and as a result the game felt absolutely massive but never overbearing or never like there were too many options at one time. It was an amazing experience playing through for the first time. :)
