Mass Effect

Just seen this for £25 squiders, is it a worthwhile game to get over anything else?

i already have Halo 3 which i enjoyed greatly on the SP campaign and DMC4 which is ok. i love rpg games but not turn based, they seem to get boring quite fast, however i really enjoy playing stuff like The Witcher, knights of the old republic.

Will it last me quite a while? i enjoy playing a good game for a few hours then putting it back on the shelf for the weekend so i dont complete it too quickly.

Thats where i struggle, i hated oblivion to the core, thought the combat system was seriously flawed and didnt like trvelling over a period of 5 hours to get somewhere. i enjoyed riding around on a horse, thats about it.

shame theirs no demo, or is their?

think il just browse but i will pick it up if nothing else tickles my fancy.

thought the storyline was impressive and although some of the framerates dropped it wasnt too annoying. the load times in the lifts could get a bit annoying and the extra missions are a bit samey but other than that it was excellent.

The load time pre witcher patch didnt get on my nerves so i think i should be ok. i generally think about the gameplay rather than loading times. as long as i am not waiting 5 minutes each loading sequence.

My copy is in the post now but i think it will be enjoyable to people who like RPG's that are not turn based. I never really liked the Final Fantasy series because of the sole reason. The only Turn based RPG i can remember that i catually enjoyed was Pokemon Red as a kid.

RPG games like The Witcher, KOTOR are some of my most played games so im sure i will get some enjoyment out of this installment.

Their seems to be 2 sides of RPG's to what people enjoy.
