Hi,

Not sure if this the right place for this thread but here we go.

I need to send out the same email, but to lots of people. I need to be able customise parts of the email to be person specifc -to change the name of addressee and address.

Anyone know of any free way to achieve this?

Thanks

Edit - Just for clarity, I'm not sending out annoying marketing emails or anything like that. This is to send out a prospective cv and cover letter

Mailchimp is great, can do what you want and has a fairly generous free account send limit.

However, one of the provisos of the free account is that you'll have a "Powered by Mailchimp" button thingy at the bottom of each e-mail. If you can live with that, then yeah, it's free and recommended.

EDIT: Though if you're sending your CV as an attachment, then maybe not - I don't think there are that many ESPs which allow this, free or otherwise.

I use mailchip, the little blurb at the end plugging mailchip is easy to work around. I just put lots of blank lines at the end of the email.

You should be using services like mailchimp as they have good anti-spam policies and thus are trusted by email providers so they do not end up on peoples junk boxes.

The software are ht and miss, cost moeny and time to set up, and have a high chance of ending up in spam boxes.

You could install SMTP server then loop through this code to send the emails???

Set objMail = CreateObject("CDONTS.Newmail")
objMail.To = ""
objMail.Subject = ""
objMail.From = ""
objMail.Body = ""
objMail.Send
Set objMail = Nothing

using a text file to hold the 'to' list and their name.
