Massive earthquake hits Chile

Can't see that it did, might be wrong here but I thought it was usually quakes out at sea which caused them (e.g. 2005). This one happened inland. I think they tend to dish them out now anyway.

I had thought of writing in my original post to ask those who couldn't give a toss to just not bother posting. Thought people here were better than that as this could be getting pretty serious but I'm just not surprised by some of the attitude here.

The front page of the BBC News website has that changing photo show, why is there a tornado there?

Link's not working.

Edit - you've also got to presume (sorry, being an ass here), that the guy knows which direction anything should be coming from. It's entirely possible he's facing the wrong (would that be NW?) direction, or he's just using the situation to flash thousands of people at once (I know I would).

A lot of the rest of them have been 10cm high (lol?), it appears it's going to pass through without breaking any records for natural disasters. Chile's a well developed country in comparison to others and think they'll be ok.

Current death toll at the 120 mark approximately.
