Could anyone post some hi res photos of their speakers, cant find any other images other that the advertisted set shots of AE's website. I'd be really greatful, thanks for looking!
i was thinking about the logitech z5500 ones but i dont need that much power! dont think i can be doing with the amount of cables it has! i just would like a couple of pics of the aegos before i buy, thing is black or white?!
Usually you decide based on the colour scheme of your monitor, case, desk. In my case it would be difficult as I have a white desk, but the PC is black on the floor next to it. As the front of my monitor is silver, I could go with either really. I suppose your in a similar situation. Mabye photoshop them onto your desk and see which looks best
I think you'll be happy with Aego's. The 5500 will cost twice as much for those surrounds and extra power and very rarely do people have space to properly locate the rear speakers or centre.
I'm stuck on going either Creatures 2 (or the slightly better Encounter) or the AE Aegos M - to match my Macbook (white) - they have all great reviews...
It'll all boil down to coolness.
Swiss, you're using the speaker to listen to music only or do you game as well? If you game or watch a lot of DVDs on the PC, you're better off with the 5.1 setup - gives a richer experience. Decent 2.1 = Music, tho not for the audiophiles.
mainly music, then movies, then games. do have about 5m from wall to wall to play with on surround - the thing that annoys me about the aegos is the odd volume controll. not sure about that design choice looks a tad tacky. also i've found some photos!
Hey Swiss T, have exactly the same speakers as the pics above (White Aego M's) and you cannot go wrong with them at all! They're a brilliant set of speakers, good treble and the bass is amazing. I would take some more pictures for you but typically my digital cameras packed up. Some other threads boasting about how good the Aego M's are: Click Me Click Me Click Me Click Me
If your mainly using the speakers for music stick with the Aego M's, they wont let you down .
