I've got a seasonic prime 1000w gold PSU powering my 5090, 9950X3D system at the moment.

It's from the 3090 era so not complaint with the latest PCI-E standards although it's working fine with a cable I bought from seasonic.

I was looking for something around 1200W on the A tier with PCI-E 5.0 and was a bit shocked at what you need to spend to get something decent.

I've ended up buying a 2200W seasonic prime from the members market for £170, doesn't look likely I'll get warranty with it but it's costing a bit less than a comparible lower wattage model and should be more power than I'll ever need.

With this being a Europe only model there's not many detailed reviews on it just wondering what the efficiency is likely to be like running at less than 50% load and if this seems like a smart buy or is there a reason I shouldn't have went so far above what I actually need?
Thanks
Scott

I got it installed, it's a big boy I had to trim my case a little bit to get it fitted but it's in. Feel like I can play with overclocking my GPU a bit more safely now.
