Hi guys,
the other day i thought i'd see if i could push my overclock a bit more, so i increased fsb from 450 to 460, but when windows was loaded, the computer was running pig slow and the hard drive was thrashing, so i opened up task manager and saw that the page file was 1.6gb!! i put the fsb back to 450, but on loading windows, the page file was still huge :( it seems to decrease back to normal after leaving the computer for about 10-15 mins tho, and doesn't always happen either...
any ideas why on earth this may be happening??

disable page file or decrease size manually...

Mycomp/properties/advanced/''top of the 3 properties buttons on that page''/advanced/modify
there you have pagefile options (i hope its ok i tranfered path from dutch to eng, dunno if correctly translated...)

Its this:

"disable page file or decrease size manually..."

And that will just make things worse for the OP.

I'd advise to set the page file to a static size and then perform a defrag.

Im kinda unsure, pagefile = slower as ram, better to force using ram, but ram size may limit this offcourse...
As far as it says in the faq somehwere in ocuk, (a sticky i mean), no pagefile is fastest, provided you have enough ram...

Anyhow whatever you do, Jamface i mean, experiment with pagefile settings and see whats best for you, the idea nathane suggested or mine, or try your own settings, and just use what feels faster ;)
