massive problem!!!

ok, far cry and dark messiah are now both having this issue.... its driveing me nuts!!! when ever i go to play the game, i has like 2-3 seconds of the black screen then just goes back to desktop as if i never tried to run the game in the first place, nothing in task manager....

any ideas anyone?

It doesn't have anything to do with the resolution the game is attempting to display in not being compatible with your monitor?

I know this happens with BF2 is the resolution you set in the game is not compatible with your monitor (its happened to me when I switched from my HDTV(back to my pc monitor)

The way that is solved (as you may know) is to delete the video config file from the BF2 profile folder.

hmmmmm, ive just applied the patch to far cry (1.4) let me see hwo that goes, if not, ill see if your way works

ok, far cry is working..... sorta, got another prob now, in far cry, i can use my mouse to navigate around the menu's, as soon as i get in the game, i cant look around with it :S just wasd to move around....

any ideas on that one?

That's a bug in one of the patches, you need to go into the controls menu and reset them all to default, that should sort it. You can then set any custom controls you want afterwards.

but still got the problem with DM of MM... anyone got any other suggestions, i tried the above solution and same problem still
