Master card or not? x1950

If its a master it should have this connector for the cable i think.

They did, but if he already has a master card, then he has to do it that way, master card less Crossfire is only if you have 2x normals.

Only with the 1950 pro and gt series of card, these had sofware controlled crossfire,
the
1900xt and xtx and 1950 xtx and xt all had master and slave cards.
And these where a lot more powerful,

The x1950's/x1900's could also do software crossfire with 2x normal cards (no master was required), it was added into the drivers ages ago even though there were master cards for those series of cards, i think ATi added it into the drivers because everyone was complaining about not being able to find the masters, they were thin on the ground. 
EDIT: Was the Catalyst 6.11's where they did away with the masters..

I'm sure this isn't correct, i'd doubt they'd run as fast as hardware crossfire either.
