Masterchef

Thats who I want to win. I just like him better than any of the others.
For me, this years is weaker than last years lineup.

Yeah I think David is a strong contender.

But then again, last year's winner came out of the blue - I thought the younger guy would win it.

I was surprised they dropped beardy guy last night.

I think the humans will beat the covenant.

erm.. yeh
sadly I've missed masterchef all last week, how many of them are left?

hehe yeah this show is great, I las tsaw the qrt final i hope the grafter bloke got through he was top :)

On a slightly O/T note my other half has put herself foward for the next masterchef :)) Fingers crossed she gets selected :)

HAHA i dont know if anyone else missed the joke, but i thought it was hilarious. unfortunately I havent watched it but I was amazed by the young girl and how good she was at such a relatively young age.

gutted that Geordie Dave went out last Friday - he was me fave cause he did proper food.

the little fella should have gotten booted imo - both his main and desert were awful - none of the 3 guest judges had a good word to say his 2 courses.

Ben has to be the fave - I hope Hannah can get over her nerves and start shining once more.

His food was simply not good enough to win. Half the time it looked little better than the type of plate you might be served in a pub. Very little finesse. I don't think he had the artistry or the talent required for the highest, haut cuisine, level.

The small, fat bearded man appears to have the most outright talent but he is also the most inconsistent. Too often he allows his art to become confused or falls in love with his own creations to such an extent that time issues rise to the fore.

My bet is for the other man. The taller one.

that guy is Ben.

didn't it break your heart when David wept openly when he didn't make it?
agreed about his presentation but god he could cook.

Steven is the short fellow and him and Hannah are probs about even atm.

no not at all, he had terrible time control and during the breakfast for ten he had no control, blamed his colleague who yes made mistakes but so did he! tried to take on more than he should have.
Ben to win i assume although Hannah is a very good chef.

for me Ben will win it, he can do the technical stuff very well and is a good all round cook the only problem is he fusses over the presentation too much.

Hannah is good at the hearty food and more simple stuff but doesnt seem to do the technical very well.

Williams timing is poor and he over complicate's things far too much.

My wife calls him the sex dwarf for some reason ! I think that its too close too call at the moment - they have all produced outstanding dishes but on the other hand they have all produced shocking dishes as well.

Actually, I've changed my mind now. I think William (short, fat man) has managed to rein in his extravagent talent and is now the finest cook among the finalists.

Ben, by comparison, whilst a fine cook, lacks genuine talent. The comments of the Michelin Star chefs were very interesting regarding Ben/William. I believe that William has the makings of a real artist whereas Ben simply lacks that X factor quality.

the small beardy one should win. the fat girl gets too panicky and the tall bloke doesnt have the raw talent.

Yep shorty should win it tonight, based on the last week's performance. But then again last year's winner came completely out of the blue... never saw that coming! Maybe Hannah will win.

Hannah's Savoy desert was simply astonishing. For an amateur to produce such a dish was almost beyond belief.

I think the pressure is all on Stephen and hannah now, that food they cooked at the Savoy was incredible.

The difference between Stephen/Hannah and Ben is that they seem to be able to adapt much better to cooking other peoples recipes, whereas Ben only really looks comfortable cooking his own dishes.

You cannot really say that Stephen looked comfortable though given he broke down half way through & couldn't remember when he had put things on to cook, he really is a bit of a mess. Good cook but a mess.
