Hi guys

I have this installed at the moment:

OCZ3X1600LV2G: OCZ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz Triple Channel Memory Kit for i7 Motherboards CL8 1.65V

It has 4 SPD Profiles in CPU-Z:

JEDEC #3 533Mhz 7-7-7-16 tRC 27 (1.5V)
JEDEC #4 609Mhz 8-8-8-19 tRC 31 (1.5V)
XMP-1600 800Mhz 8-8-8-24 tRC 36 (1.65V)
XMP-1600 800MHz 9-9-9-27 tRC 41 (1.65V)

Currently I'm using the first profile, which I think works out identical to the second (7/1066 = 8/1218). Maybe.

Anyway I'd like to add some more RAM and match this spec (for futureproofing, while it's cheap), but none of the RAM in the store has the SPD profiles published. Most of the decent priced ones seem to have higher latency, and I don't really know what I'm doing.

I'm considering this one:

I might add 12GB instead of 6. That would work, right? Any issues with doing that?

Thanks.

I'm leaning towards the F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL from G.Skill

It seems to need a different voltage to my OCZ stuff, and have marginally higher latency. Will this be a good choice?

Thanks
