Hi there, my friend has chose a list of components to build a pc. Can anything of you recommend a reasonable PSU and Case for the following setup and he wants to spend as little as possible.

CPU : Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM

MOBO : DFI Infinity 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

HDD : Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (0A33423)

RAM : Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x512MB)

DVD : Asus DRW-1608P3S 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - Retail

COOLER : Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)

Lian-Li PC-7 Plus and a Corsair 520W should do you nicely :)

As Dark Angel said though, you don't seem to have a GPU there. You could also save money by getting the E4300 and just using the stock cooler as they're not too bad.

EDIT: Could save even more money by getting the Asus P5N-E SLi board instead of the DFI. Oh, one final comment- ditch the Hitatchi HDD and get a Seagate or a Samsung :)

Indeed, with stock cooler, my E4300 is @ 3037.5 MHZ. This is without really playing around to much. I wouldn't be surprised if I could get it to 3200 or something.

I'd suggest the same as above. If he's on a cheaper budget you could look at Antec's Case+PSU packages like the NSK4400. The Akasa Zen is also a decent cheap case, and paired with the Sparkle 400W PSU would be a great cheap combo.
