mate having PC issues

Ive tried suggesting a few things but none of it seems to be working. Hes had issues with trojans and is using AVG with spyware programs etc.. and is having random computer issues such as :

MSN not connecting
No web pages loading or no links working
Net not connecting at all
Random slow downs
Cant install some programs it just gets errors (other anti virus for example)

Hes got a shed load of trojans in his virus vault and says they are changing name or its constantly picking up new things all the time!

Any ideas? I think its down to a format now just for ease but that can be hassle

I would just format tbh. I'm formatting my puter as we speak *stares at the "all new look" screen *

but if you're not in the mood try a spyware/virus/worm/trojan/adaware scan
