It's definitely worth £2 if you haven't played it. It's much more fun than most things you can buy for £2.

It will look a bit dated, but it will be fun and it will set you up nicely for Diablo 3!

Bear in mind it's a pure hack 'n' slash fest that can be completed simply by clicking the mouse a lot.

But it's a good game.

In the previous D2 thread I remember being chuffed to bits becuase I got it for £3 (I think, certainly £8 for both D2 + LOD). Does need the expansion for the 800x600 resolution though, so you'll be stuck to 640x480.

One of my favourite games ever. Definitely get it and the LoD expansion. The expansion really improves the game, not just the higher res, but tons of more items and the addition of runes makes it loads better.

make sure you get the expansion too, that enables highres mode - 800x600, without that it's almost unplayable

iirc, it does run on mac's.. (i don't have one to test mind)
