mates moniter wont detect signal

hello there my mates computer was working fine till the power went off. Went to reboot it and and it says no vga signal it does this every time the power goes out any ideas

Mine was literally just doing that, how weird. Anyway i found out the 24pin mobo connector wasn't plugged in correctly, so not recognising the graphics card. If not, try another monitor? And if that doesn't work its either the graphics card or cable or something.

I have had this issue, firs try other vga/DVI port, unplug all connectors from mobo, then plug again...mine was because of ram: remove all ram slots for couple minutes and plug again (mine problem was solved this way)
