bit stuck on a partial fractions question

(t+1)²+t²
(2+t)(1+t²)

would I have to do long division on the numerator since if you multiply out the brackets you get t^4+1?

mucho gracias

Multiplying out the brackets I get

(2t^2 + 2t + 1) / (t^3 + 2t^2 + t + 2)

Which I think you can simplify down to

(t + 1) / (t^3 + 2)

Been a good while since I've done anything like this though so I'm probably way off
