Maths in schools - why don't they do this?

sounds like a good idea

people at the school i work are now using nintendo DSs with brain training etc in maths classes :p

ahh exams i forgot how much people worry about them and then the 2 hours go past so quickly so now i can walk out early i dont as there is always more to do on the exam. never thought i would be thanking school.
Even though the teachers had either no clue who i was or what i was doing.
Some kids are dumb and blame there teachers and some are that dumb they become the scum of the country THE CHAV!!.

sorry to put this on your thread.
Very true though..
Wish i had something like that for english.

There's no logarithms up untill the second module of my maths AS level.

This is with the WJEC of course, no idea about the other boards.

C4 is amazing xD

No logs until AS, really? I am adamant I started logs in GCSE, if not year 10, and that was only around 8 years ago.

Come to think of it, they were still O-levels when I did them in Mauritius and the exam board were Cambridge Uni. And when I moved to England for my AS, I found the maths course dead easy, so yeah maybe logs aren't introduced till AS in England whereas I must have assumed it was GCSE/O-level.
