I'm off to the races at the end of the month, for a bit of fun i've been trying to create some sort of excel spreadsheet that will give me the probability of horses finishing 1st, 2nd etc etc
So far for variables i've got, fractional and decimal odds, the mean form from the last six races and the age, I'm stuck with the probability side of it. I've never been any good at maths, and it's still the case. I've just been reading this article:
