Matrix chat servers for tech and open source

I've just set myself up on Matrix as IRC is dying a slow death these days. I'm looking for good rooms/servers on open source and technology in general.

It's not dying at all. You just have to know where to go.

If you look into The Lounge Chat there is a web/server client available for IRC.

I mean I use Libre Chat mainly because Freenode died. I used IRCCloud but not sure I want to shell out £50 a year for IRC and running a bouncer seems like more hassle than it is worth at this point.
