Matrox graphics cards

Hi guys, ive come across a kuput fan on an unkown model Matrox card.

My quest is to obviously replace this fan, but my side quest is to make it quiet as posible. Trouble is, ive never used matrox kit before never mind had to fix it! It looks rather similar to a Gforce 5XXX series card? Any ideas guys?

How wide apart are the screw holes? If you're lucky you could bodge a NB heatsink and fan onto there... might not be the quietest though.

Heatsink is 50mm x 50mm. The locating plugs are 15mm in (right = 15mm down from the top, left = 15 up from the bottom). Plug to plug is 59mm.

Hope this makes sense?

That looks a little bit like a Matrox Parhelia if memory serves.

Either that or a P series?

It's a QID card. See the photo at http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/cadgis/products/qid/qid.php. The spacing of the pins on the HSF does look more like a northbridge than a graphics card but something like a Zalman VF700 or VF900 has a lot of mounting options and you should find one that will suit.
