Matter which dimm I use?

I've got 4gb of XMS 2 that somehow squeesed under my Titan fenrir I was looking at getting something a little faster/lower latency but they all come with sexy heatsinks

So does it matter what 2 dimm slots I use? as it will not fit under the CPU cooler

Most of the time, YES. Unless you fill the 'primary' slots first, the motherboard may not even boot. Check your manual.
