No, only had this one a couple of years, can't afford to get a new one yet
Just checked and it has dipped around 20mm which falls within their tolerance. That's after being out of bed an hour or so too.
cant you lay a piece of true wood across it - to accurately show drop.
I'm not sure as a consumer you have to accept their interpretation of what is a fit for use product, either, when complaining - and would tell them so.
eg. if you place say a 10kg weight on it and it drops 4 " say I'd complain
how much are they(was it) ? - with all the periodic (less so ,now) deals, what do folks pay. ?
I laid something flat over it and placed a steel rule vertical to measure the dip.
In 2019 my king size Simba Hybrid cost £599 with a free mattress protector.
Any recommendations for a cheap double mattress, budget of £300ish. Will likely end up as a guest bed soon when we change the bed later in the year for a kingsize.
The Ikea Hovag seems to be recommended on all the review sites (well referral link articles) but looks like they have replaced it with a new product which has no reviews.
Preference would be pocket sprung, medium firm as a mix of side and back sleeping. Thanks

Otty is rock hard, caused me no end of pain so had to get rid of it. Replaced it with a John Ryan Origins 1500 and couldn't be happier.
We had our Simba mattress replaced. While I don't think the (durable) quality is there, I can't fault the customer service. They asked for photos of:
I asked if we could upgrade to their top of the range mattress and pay the difference but they would only allow a like for like replacement.
Who knows, maybe another 3 years and they will need to replace this one. Or hopefully this mattress is an improved design or better quality and will last much longer.
We also purchased a Panda mattress topper to see if that made a difference. It certainly did, but not a good one. That will be going back too.

We're looking to replace our double bed with a king. We like the look of the John Ryan mattresses and are leaning towards the Contemporary Platform Divian and Origins Pocket 1500 mattress.

Currently looking in to the mattress in a box companies, any real world positives or negatives? Seen a couple saying the sleep position dips/ gets bad after 3 years or so
Mattress in a box pros: Easy returns, it's basically risk free to try. Cons: Overpriced for what they are, they have high return rates so lots of people don't find them comfortable. Impossible to find unbiased reviews since they funnel huge amounts of money into paid reviews. You can go try them out at John Lewis in person. I bought an Emma mattress to try it out, and it was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on. Felt like wet sand with almost no support.
IMO the best value mattresses are Ikea if you're on a budget.
John Ryan has excellent quality, but imo they have raised their prices a lot and you can get better value mattresses elsewhere. But they are a pretty safe option.
I bought an all latex mattress from latexsense over a year ago, and I freakin' love it. It's basically the same as the JR fusion mattress, but cost me about 40% less. They provided me the okto docs, and I confirmed it is legit. Super comfy, glad I moved over to latex after struggling to find a good mattress for ages (tried JR artisan natural and didn't like it at all, latex suits me better).

The Hovag has been replaced now, Ikea released new models this year. Problem I found with the Ikea mattresses is that they don't have any side support and just collapse when sat on the edge.
