mATX budget build for home use

As title says looking for a build, or possibly not even a build, just a rough figure of how much a build would cost for a system that is just used for web/word processing, really nothing else..

Build is for GF's sister due to the death of her old machine (mobo died):

Old PC (Specs): HP Pavilion Slimline s3514.uk

I can keep the HDD and DVD drives, so would just need:

Case
PSU
MOBO
CPU (APU I assume?)
RAM

I've only built gaming rigs in the past, so don't have much knowledge on lightweight builds, is the money saved by building yourself just as significant?
