I'm looking for an upgrade/downsize project and really like the look of the BitFenix Phenom MATX Cube Case - Nvidia Edition - Black case.
Figured I'd use the PSU, Graphics (ATI 6870) and hard drives etc and just replace what I had to.

I've take a little look at was thinking along these lines?

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 £173.99

BitFenix Phenom MATX Cube Case - Nvidia Edition - Black £74.95

TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz £49.99

Gigabyte H81M-S2PV Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 £39.95

Totals £338.88

I'd appreciate any other views people have, but want to keep the whole build below £350.

Thanks in advance

Or if not drop to the 4690(non-K).

The phenom mATX hasn't got great airflow due to the PSU placement.

What PSU do you intend to use?

OCZ ZS Series 750W '80 Plus Bronze'
figured I may upgrade the mobo later for one I could clock.
there's only £10 in it on the processors I think?

Do you plan on overclocking ? As you would want a Z97/Z87 board for that.

could I have that in budget?

wrong case tbh, brings the price way over, if that mobo/ram are find then I'll stick with those, just didn't want to buy a dud.

Mostly gaming tbh. Want something that will play ps2 etc at more than 0.5fps
While taking up less room than my aklsa mirage cased one

Nah would rather have the quad core tbh and upgrading later will not happen.

just a thought, what happens if I go AMD rather than Intel?
also anyone (Stulid?) got views on the Prodigy vs Phenom?
I'm kinda jumpy about not having a DVD drive but having said that I've not used mine in a few years now....

Am I better off with

TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD38G2133HC11ADC01)

Or

TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01)

Or

TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLYD38G2133HC11ADC01)

As they are all approx 60 quid?

Any reason to go for

Over
Gigabyte Z97M-DS3H Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard

Other than the PCI slots?

hmm my hard drives don't like the sideways mounting!
that a common issue with mechanical drives?

ok I'll post up some build notes later, the case is very small and has some finiky bits.
anyone else with this one notice the fans at the top of the case are blowing in or was it just mine?
