mATX Case Recommendations + Airflow question

So I've decided to replace my cheapo Zalman case for something a bit higher quality, with decent airflow and cooling. I've got a mATX motherboard, and am still after a relatively compact case.

Only problem I have is that the CPU cooler I have only mounts vertically on to the motherboard (Noctua NH-U9B SE2 on an AMD board), which I'd guess restrict options with airflow in some cases.

So I had originally had my eye on this:

I would have thought that with the air getting pulled in horizontally, it's not going to work well with the Noctua, as it's not going to be moving air the same direction?

I would have thought that might be better, as it has a top fan (which I think is an intake, but can be easily switched to an exhaust), which would work with the cooler rather than against it.

I'm no expert on cooling or airflow when it comes to cases, so any help or other recommendations would be appreciated!
