I want to downsize my PC, and I am not one for Overclocking, unless its auto.
Could you recommend the best one at current for intel z170 with the best auto overclock feature?

I get that mate, but would rather be looking for new tech, ect DDR4, also I mostly just game and browse.
I might be looking at it wrong though. Do you think as I go up in higher res, will I need those extra cores?

It is DDR4 but ideally needs quad RAM rather than dual to make full use of it.

What it doesnt have is proper m.2 (not full speed), USB3.1 and a USB TypeC connector and maybe some other stuff thats not so important.

Also its not realistically going to be slower than a 6700K in most tasks and with a simple oc to 4Ghz will match and bet it when an app uses all the cores/threads.

Yeah quad channel so a 4 stick kit at least.

4X4Gb = 16Gb for example.

But with the difference of that bundle compared to a Z170+6700k you are still cheaper I think.

You also need a cooler adding to either option neither X99 retail CPU or Skylake "K" CPU come with one.

Ye that's fine, I use a cooler master Eisburg customized by overclockers a couple of years ago in my now 540 air.
Debating if to switch to any new cpu now mate, as the benchmarks for skylake isn't that much better than my haswell.
But that's only from watching a couple of vids on yt
But i would still need to downsize my motherboard, as i want to get the 240 air.
What do you think?

cheers mate, what would you go for for best OC quality, sorry for being a pain, and I really do appreciate the time taken to reply to my dumb questions.

The best mATX was the ASUS Gene.

Also the Gigabyte Gaming 5M (or 5M cant remeber exactly the model code).

You can overclock a CPU independently of the RAM speed.
