Hello all,

After much thought over the last week I've decided that I probably can't sell my old eMachines PC for a great deal, and would probably like to keep the case, rear case fan, and optical drive.

I'm looking at getting a brand new Gigabyte 1155 mATX motherboard, and was wondering if you thought it would be an easy fit?

This will be my first PC build so I want it to be straight forward. My concern is that the holes in the board won't line up with the spacers/threads in the case in order to attach it.

Here are some pics:

Into this will go a 500W PCU, i3-2100 CPU, Seagate hard drive, wireless PCI card, crucial RAM, and a graphics card (of which I still don't know what to get!).

Any help/advice would be fantastic.

Many thanks.

At first glance it looks fairly straight forward. I would worry about no intake fan. Maybe the length of the video card would be an issue. Also check the gap between the new PSU and the back of the optical drive.
