Do OCUK sell any MATX Psu's?

Thinking of giving my mum my current monitor but she only has onboard video with vga output so I don't think it would output at 1920x1200. So I was thnking of giving her my old 7900GT to drive it but then she only has a cheap 400W PSU wedged into her MATX case lol(not even screwed in).

Any ideas lol.

She wouldn't be doing anything more than surfing the net and watching videos on it so the card would be in constant 2D mode. would the current PSU be ok?

You will probably find that it is still a normal size psu.

Try measuring it to be sure.

The current PSU will probably be ok to use too, if the 7900GT needs an addition 6pin power or a 4pin Molex connector in it, make sure theres one free

Yeah it is a normal size ATX PSU in there. Just thought I would fix that problem while I was at it. The PSU the case came with blew up after a year so I went to a local PC shop which was run by poorly spoken asians. I asked him for a MATX PSU and he gave me one for £20, got back to my mums to find it was an ATX one. I bet he thought I was going "an Emmmm.. ATX PSU" lol.

Yea, sounds like a new PSU would be a good idea, even if it's another standard ATX one - something like this would be a nice step up. Here is a review.

As for the graphics card, if you have a 7900GT kicking about then you may as well install it alongside the corsair PSU. However, unless your mum is running a really old system - most onboard graphics can handle 1920x1200 resolution (though they won't be able play games or HD movies). But the graphics card will offer a lot more graphics power (though it will make the system louder, hotter and more power hungry compared to relying on integrated graphics).
