Hi all,

I'm looking to build a mATX Sandy Bridge Spec for around £750. Please check my spec before I buy.

I will be using it for gaming, internet and tv etc.

The graphics card I've added will be used on a different machine and I will use my old one (Gainward ATI Radeon 4850) until I've saved enough.

Thanks

Jack

if you really want a case like the lian li (small cube case) it would be best to ask for advice in the small form factor section.

i see on the reviews you will have to modify the case to get the H50 to fit as well, so i dont know if your happy to do that

oh, and dont go for the above drive, go for this one. its £2 cheaper (ZOMG!): http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-096-LO
its faster than the samsung too

I had a good search on this topic, I've only found one reference to a small mod to the CD bay.....maybe mobo specific?? Does anyone else have anymore input on this?? It would be a great help.

If I was you I would invest an extra £5 and get the pro version of the "P8P67-M", as with the P8P67-M you only get 1 16x PCI express port whereas the Pro version has 2 16x PCI express ports. And you also get "TPU" with the Pro version which is an easy and lazy way of overclocking ;)

Hey,

So I successfully built this rig back in April. To fit the H50 I had to mod the case quite a bit which has left the rig slightly incomplete.

I would like to know:

Can the above components fit into a SilverStone Fortress 3 FT03 case?
Where a fan controller fits in the case?
Will this fit a push/pull H50 setup?

Thanks

Jack

i dont think the fortress 3 has any exposed 5.25 inch bays, so i doubt you'll get a fan controller in there. the best you could manage is something software controlled if theres anything like that on the market

a bit of a random question, but you didnt happen to note down the timings for the ram did you? i have the same stuff, but literally no idea what timings it needs to be at 1600Mhz
