Hey,

I'm looking for a new SFX/mATX PSU. I've seen two that have caught my eye-

Enermax 270W
Seasonic V8 300W

Now, both are pretty good from what I hear. Are there any better? I don't want to spend too much but it needs to power the following in a mATX case:

P-III 1.266 Tualatin
MSI 6368 (VIA PLE133)
256MB PC133 (x1)
1x Seagate 40GB IDE (possible second for RAID1 O/S).
2x 250GB 16MB cache SATA (WD 250, Maxtor DM10 250GB in RAID1)
Hardware possibly i.e. XFX Revo64 RAID card/Silicon image SiI3112/4 RAID.
Onboard sound and video.

Would a 200W Seasonic be enough as I know I can pick these up cheaply or should I use something like the Enermax (which will set me back about £30 delivered) or the Seasonic (£40 delivered).

This is a file server/NAS so I'm looking at 24/7 possible (with standby). Currently running a trial of Windows 2003 Server (which is amazing -might get full when I have a job - uni grad! :p) or might go for free Linux based NAS.

Don't quote me on it but for that spec I'd say the 200W will be fine it's not like you throwing any big drain gear in there or overclocking it and thrashing it to the max.

Woah - thanks for replying. I've since upgraded it to an A64 3500+ (AM2) and ECS Via motherboard - thankfully it ran run C'n'Q so this will sae power and heat. Hopefully it should all be ok though as the Enermax PSU I got it quiet solid and obviously Enermax quality is high.
