I'm building a low to mid-range mATX pc, looking to buy probably around September time. I want to use the Silverstone TJ08B-E case, but OcUK don't stock that anymore so I'll be buying the case from elsewhere.

Just wanted to check compatibility, and perhaps just as importantly if there will be be any size issues regarding components fitting in said case. Would appreciate suggestions for different parts, keeping in mind that the budget is pretty fixed. Thanks.

AMD FM2 series might be within your scope of options here.
What is your max budget?

600 including a 22" monitor.

They do stock the case:
Interesting. It seems I was looking for it in the wrong section. In any case (npi) it's 20 pounds cheaper elsewhere.
Snips you've made a mistake..

I'll let you edit it out before others tear you apart. Because im kind like that...
Is it the lack of graphics card?

Perhaps I should have included case and monitor and a max budget of 600 and seen what was proposed. PC will mostly be used for photo editing, coding, occasional running of simulations (physics related), gaming. Thinking about it, I think too much of my budget is going on the case.

MY spec incliding this monitor will come £20 over budget (with free shipping)

Worth it.

Well then, my build is within budget now. :)

Is it the lack of graphics card?

No, that CPU has very good on-boards that can play many games at medium settings, though i feel it may be a bit weak for your uses.

The mistake was he specced a mATX case and a ATX motherboard, it won't fit.. :)

Your build looks better. I think I'll probably go with your suggestion, but I'm starting to wonder whether the case is worth it. Could you suggest any alternatives? Ideally I'm looking for something with a low footprint.

The case is well worth it. I have one and i can tell you its worth every penny.

The installation is smooth, the cable tidying features are a god-send in such a small case..

It's the smallest mATX case that takes long GPU and big air coolers.

The airflow is very good due to the 180mm Air penertrator in the front.

Quality of build and materials are also top notch. i love mine. :)

(though i will propably end up getting a prodigy M when they arrive). :)

Another case option is the Fractal Arc Mini.. Though OCUK don't stock it. It's around the same price though.

That will most probably be my basket then. Budget was £600 max, but I think it's worth stretching the extra £24 in this case. I think your basket was a tad cheaper because of weekly specials. I'll have to check them out when I come to buy. Thanks for your help.
