Is there any benefit or downside to an ITX board vs a MATX, in particular the ASUS H81M-PLUS vs H81I-PLUS.
The reason I ask is im planning a budget build and ive pretty much settled on the combo of the h81m and g3258 hoping to get a decent overclock.
Been looking at cases and keep coming back to the BitFenix Prodigy, specifically the MATX version, but the layout does seem rather cramped compared to the original ITX version, especially the mounting of 3.5 drives etc.
Would using the ITX version of the board give as good an overclock/performance as the MATX board ? The only thing that is missing is the PCI-E slots, which I was not planning on using anyway. The price is roughly the same also.
Thanks.
