just a quick question how do I find out if I am on max adsl?

Do the speed test and tell us what the download/upload rates are

Or you can see what speed you connect at if you have a modem, if you have a router it should say somewhere in the status page.

im getting 1.6mpbs download and 0.2mpbs upload I have a nildram broadband pakage of up to 8mbps is this ok?

You can also find out by looking at sync rates in your modem or router stats.

Your speed test results indicate that you're most probably synced at 2272/288, which is a standard 2Mb affair. Not MaxDSL.

You don't appear to be on MaxDSL yet - but thats not to say you won't get it, you will just need to wait to be upgraded. How long have you been with your ISP?

about a year how to I get upgraded?
Do I have to contact BT or my ISP or will they do this in time?

Always the ISP. It's worth contacting them to ask if they're doing bulk upgrades, or whether you have to ask them for an upgrade.

Go to *** Nildram site and regrade the accout for free. They don't just put you on Max. You need to request it.
