I have an asrock z690 pg riptide that uses ddr4 ram(should have been a ddr5 mb but im taking the challenge and using ddr 4 again) and i3 14100f, it's a very good cpu

First i was recommendded aegis 3200mhz cl16, i bought a pair knowning it might run at 3600mhz not the ram i bought but ram might run at 3600mhz with no problems at all

I regreded buying normal fast ram and especially ram without a heatsink (didn't knew there wasn't any heatsink until i got them), it does, g skill ripjaws v 3600mhz cl 16 runs without any problem 100% stable knock on wood

I can get ddr 4 4400 mhz or slightly faster for not a lot of money, what speed would you recommend ?

I wanna go past 3600-4000mhz. even something like 32gb 3200mhz cl 14 is stupid expensivem that option is not possible, if you don't wanna have mushkin ram, it's 200 euros, that price can give you 64gb 4266 or 4400mhz cl 19 or 20

Amoung of ram vs cpu power

There is a certain max power for every cpu, not power consumption but horse power

where is the memory, ram (amount of gb) limit with my cpu an i3 14100f ?

you have 32gb of memory, ram and most cpus can use that if you do heavy multitasking or multitasking + gaming or some video editing, maxed out it's 128gb but when does my cpu don't have enough power to use all of the ram i have, not all of my 32gb of ram or 128gb but how much ram can a 14100f use before it runs out of steam

let's say you wanna have 64gb but way before using close to 64gb the cpu don't have more power to use the additional ram !

That would be a good indication for how much ram you pc can handle and the max ram you should buy (not the same as the sweetspot for gaming), if your cpu runs at 95% using 32gb of ram or 20-25% when using 32gb of ram (i9 or ryzen 9)

First (95% usage of the cpu) you likely not to need more than 32gb of ram, if so on a low budget you might should have bought a 12400,13400 or something like a ryzen 5700x,7500f,7600, the second where your cpu is used 20-25% when using 32gb ram (i9 ?), you can easily use,get 64 gb and even 128gb should be no problem for the cpu to use

all things but video and photo editing

multitasking, twitch, tidal, youtube, games, browsing with a lot of fans open

I play mostly racing games, it's very fine, it's actually as good or better than a 9700k,10600k,10700k

I bought the wrong mb meaning i forgot to check if it supported ddr 4 or ddr5, i desided to keep it an test it,use it, so fare it's stable and fast but not as fast as it can be, there for my ram questions

32gb 4400 mhz cl 19 is under 100 euros and my mb does support + 5000 mhz but those are super expensive

im not that worried about my cpu, it doess very good in games i play

if i need more power im gonna get a new 14600kf that costs 200 euros, it's as good or better than a 12900k in games (a 12900k is not quiet there yest, it's stil, more than 200 euros for a used)

14 cores a 14400f that is close to the same price (145 euros) is only 10 cores
