max core temps for 2600k

Hi, I'm going to start overclocking today and wanted to know what's the max safe temp recommended?

Is 70C ok or could I go a little higher/lower?

I will be using Intel burn for testing stability and coretemp for monitoring

With a good air cooler or a water cooler like a H50 or H70, you should be able to stay under 70 deg up to around 4.6ghz under prime.

I have had my CPU at 89 degrees (don't ask how) which is way too hot.

I would worry if you manage to get to 80 deg at a normal overclock.
