My stats from my ST 585 are as follows:

Downstream: 8096
Attenuation: 33.0db
SNRM: 14.5db
tx pwr: 19.5dbm

Upstream: 832
Attenuation: 18.0db
SNRM: 10.0db
tx pwr: 12.5 dbm

This was achieved with tweaking using the DMT tool. I can hold the line fine, but just wondered about errors. How many FEC errors is usual in a 24hr period? Im getting a few thousand. My main concern is CRC's and HEC errors, i seem to be getting quite a few, around the 20-30 mark a day after a lot of usuage? Is that too high? What are anyone elses figures? Also, if i get BT to turn interleaving off on my line, will the errors increase? if so how do i monitor it to see if it needs to be turned back on or not?

Thanks

Less than the number that makes your connection break. Depends on the number of frames you're shifting across the connection.

No. Your connection's ability to recover from "interference" is reduced though, so the number of uncorrectable errors will increase (but the total number of errors should remain the same).

When your connection breaks?
