Max no of wireless connections to a router

Hi

is there a general rule for this ?

i dont mean hacking or anything

assume you have a gym full of laptop bods - say 20 and a wireless router
right in the middle - would it cope ?

must be one of those power of 2 things

Depends on signal strength & wireless link speed.
But using a wireless acess point (AP) up to 255, looking at my ZyXEL NWA-3160
it's capable of managing up to 8 access points while also functioning as a wireless access point. This provides a scalable solution capable of supporting up to 200 users.

thanks for the replies - i realise "you pay for features" its more a case of not seeing it mentioned in any articles

but

"the truth is out there" especially on the ZyXEL NWA-3160 page

theres not really a hardware limit as far as i know, but most home routers stop at 32 im lead to believe. (software)
