Have seen locked SB being overclocked by increasing the bus by 4-5% (100 --> 104). Is there an online database where you can see max oc achieved. Has anyone heard of higher oc's with these CPU's?

Increasing the bus is more problematic that it used to be pre LGA1155 as it alters it for everything now not just the CPU/RAM, LGA2011 boards have a BCLK multiplier so they can raise it for CPU/RAM while leaving it static for the other components however5 LGA1155 boards do not.

Raising the multiplier will probably give you better results if you can do that, not all non-K chips are fully locked, non-K i7's can have their multiplier raised 4 above their max turbo clock (I.E for a CPU with a 3.8GHz turbo it can be raised to 4.2), IIRC i5 CPUs can do this too but im not sure about i3s and lower.
