Seriously, at least 50% of the games I buy these days have game breaking bugs...

I tweaked a couple of settings, hit restart on the game as prompted, now I can't play Max Payne 3 unless I specify I the '-dx9' launch options...

Anyone know a fix for this? Already reinstalled graphics drivers.

If I can't get it working, I will ask Steam for a refund, this is getting silly now.

GTX 670 FTW edition.

Just had to peel my self away from the game! It's bloody fantastic! Reminds me a lot of the originals, apart from the never ending cut scenes, but I think that's just the start of the game.

Ooooooo, I know what I will be doing tomorrow lol.

It's an awesome game, played Tomb Raider prior to MP3 and had that as my personal game of the year, but Max Payne took that title. It's an intense gaming exprience, the final battle at the airport was brilliant.

Currently knocking through Farcry3.

My only gripe is that they take 15 hours (ish) to 'complete'.

I'm a big fan of the previous Max Payne's, and I'm not dissapointed by the feel of this one in terms of gameplay yet.

I just want some larger levels without a cut scene every 3 steps.

I haven't completed it, but found that I adjusted to the action-scene-cut-scene-action-scene-cut-scene pacing after a while.

My only tip is to not play it on the hardest difficulty unless you have the ability to withstand super-meat-boy levels of frustration. It allows the enemy to get 1-shot headshots on you in a fairly unpredictable and random manner, which whilst quite realistic I found extremely aggravating (doing the same mission three times, using the same approach, keeping to cover where possible, moving between shots etc and twice you'd get randomly killed, the other time you'd escape without a nick.)
