Is there any way that I can connect my retail copy of Max Payne 3 to Steam? I would have bought it from Steam if it wasn't such a ridiculous size (30GB) as I currently have a bandwidth limit of 1.5GB before I get capped to 200KB/s for 5 hours before being reallocated another 1.5GB by my ISP. Downloading 30GB would have taken me days, maybe even weeks, so I understandably opted to choose a retail copy from here.

Now when I try to add a game to Steam, it says my Max Payne 3 CD Key is invalid?

Here is photographic proof I own a legit copy of the game, bought from Overclockers UK because I am aware there are idiots out there who would probably pirate and then come here looking for a work around:

Outside of the box

Inside of the box

P.S this is just a copy + paste of my topic on the Steam forums, just wanted more insight. (especially as they are inactive)

P.S.S I'm pretty new to Steam! :p

I love Steam, I just wanted to register it so I could have it in my library with time played etc. and I also wanted it in there for the cool logo style box thing (lol) whereas if I just put it in through 'add a non-Steam game' its just the launcher logo with tons of space around it, not a cool picture like the rest! :(

Sort it out Rockstar, patch it some steamworks.

Yeah the games playable, it just sucks that I have to use the ugly Rockstar ingame interface instead of Steams, unless adding non-steam games also gives the Steam interface? The reason I want it in there properly is that every game I have is in Steam, just makes it a little untidy you know? :p

As for the game itself, I've spent more time in Multiplayer, its just too fun (bar the hackers!).
