We have a Packard Bell Imedia 5306, according to Packard Bells site the max memory that can be used is 1gb.
But using the crucial memory scanner that says the max memory that can be used is 2gb.
I'd reckon the PB site is the one to listen to?
Also PC133 SDRAM is there anything else that can be used or is it just that type of ram I have to look for?

I don't think you get 1gb sticks of PC133 anyway (you need PC133).

Even if you did I dread to think of how much it would cost these days.

Actually yer now that you mention it, I saw some pc133 ram perhaps it was 1gb stick but it was well over £100 I couldn't believe it.

I'll look for 2x512mb sticks, its an old pc (obviously ) so don't wanna spend to much on it, theres some on a certain auction site for 15-20 notes what do you reckon to these? I've bought used memory before but that was for a desktop that wasn't used that often, this pc is used daily.
