I've just started overclocking my machine since I only just got my Enermax PSU and my artic 64 installed.
Currently testing 230x11 (2530) and it's idle of 27C and using super PI on 8MB calculate to stress test the cpu for heat it's maxing at 38.
Think i should take it straight to 240FSB?

Will keep you all updated after each restart and speed increase.

ok so that sounds good... i'm guessing 50C is the max i'd be looking to hit... ohhh it just went up to 39C... right sod it i'm going to crank it up to 240HTT(not fsb as earlier stated) i see now that my fsb is at 180MHz but i'm just trying to find the thermal limmit of my cpu first. I know my OCZ can handle 230MHz before it gets unstable ish and starts failing primes.

problems!?

ok it blue screens half way though windows bootup at 240HTT... i've got the PCIE locked at 100MHz even if it is an AGP card... the mem is running on the 166 devider = 180MHz... and at stock volts.. 1.4V(which I cant figure out how to make higher?!) see sig for specs.. using V1.70 of the bios.
Help please!!!
I've got it stable at 235HTT and getting 39C at full load. giving me 2.59GHz nearly FX-60 territory :)

Have you reduced the HTT/LDT multi yet? Change it to 3 if you are going above 250 HTT. You need to keep the hypertransport bus at 1000mhz or below, if you havent changed the multi then you're running at 240*5=1200 too high. A slight voltage increase may be needed to 1.425 on the cpu, havent used that board so not sure where the option is

Well looks like its not so stable at 235HTT crashed during a BF2 online game. Running at 220htt just now... I tried changing my HTT/SB from auto which i'm assuming is 5=/1000mhz on every other setting right down to 1x/200mhz and it still won't boot at 240htt.. im convinced theres something i'm forgetting.. time to read the asrock dual thread.

Max temps for dual core A64s is 65 i believe, best to keep below 60 to be safe.

I would be a little wary of those temps, that seems somewhat low. Check the thread and see if it usually under reports tempertures...
