Max res before going SLI/Crossfire

Im thinking of upgrading my monitor from a 19" to something bigger. But ive only got a single card, so i cant go to big without a drop in performance. Whats the max size i should go, spec is below if it will help.

8800gtx oc2

Imo the best 24 inch on the market. I onw the slightly older 07 A04 revision.
