Im trying to overclock my rig in sig, but i have corsair value select(PC-5300 667mhz) and as you can probaly tell by its name its not the best at overclocking, so im just wondering whats the max volts i can put through it safely to get those all important extra mhz:)

Thanks in advance, Ben

So if you go above 2.1 you void the warranty is this correct? Ill have to stay below 2.1 then :( Lucky i havent gone to 2.2 yet

Thanks yellowbeard

There are electrical components that burn out inside memory modules when the voltage goes too high. They are designed to do that and dont affect the memory at all but let the manufacturer know if too higher volts have been used and if warranty is void. 2.2v should be fine for the corsair. Doubt the burn out components kick in until 2.3v is exceeded. OCZ call it EVP and say at what volts it kicks in

Maybe someone can confirm when they kick in?
