I think I've read about this else where but I thought I better ask - I've been changed over to MAX and I can connect at about 5.1Mbs though my d/l maxes out at about 250kbs -been like this for about 5-6 wks since I regraded my account - surely it should be d/l quicker? (stuck at 1Mbps which it was b4? ) Is something stuck on the IP side?

I am with F2S btw if thats of any relevance(?)

Ta :)

Sounds like sticky BRAS cap, contact ISP.

OK will do - just so I know what I am talking about to them what does BRAS stand for and what does it do? hence what will the ISP do?

Don't suppose you could answer my question in my other thread on faceplates could ya? I wanna order one asap if it is going to help.

It's not important what it stands for - they should know what it means. At the very least they should be able to see what the limit's set to.
What it's doing is fairly obvious - limiting your throughput. They'll need to raise a fault presumably (after getting you to jump through hoops).

No.

You will have to ring F2s. But be prepared to take the day off work to ring them. You will be lucky to get to the front of the Tec/Sup hold in under 2 hours, that's if you don't get cut of and have to start all over again.

Or you could raise a ticket. Bare in mind it probably won't have been answered this time next year though.

Seriously, I'm glad I'm migrating out this Thursday.

Next year!!!!!!!!!....i thinks you might be a bit optimistic on that csmager.
Moved to Zen myself last tuesday, after spending over three weeks trying to get through to Tec/Sup @ over £4 per hour on hold. It's just a relief to be with a proper isp again, like F2s used to be before Pipex took over.

I myself have recently migrated to Zen and have found both their Customer Service and Technical Support excellent.

I'm off to IDNet. I couldn't really justify £34.99/month, and 20Gb (on the cheaper package) wasn't quite enough. IDNet's 30Gb offering should be just fine.
